Sir.. (@hkg_paul) The UK settlement obligation is a drop in the ocean of the combined eU27 economies.
Anyone thinking otherwise is ill-informed.
The Withdrawal Settlement agreed (Nov 2018) between the UK Government and the EU27 (BTW 40b+ not 30b) acknowledges this and relates to UK Government already incurred commitments, as an EU member.
Irrespective of legal obligations, any refusal of UK to meet these already acknowledged obligations ...in or out, will be seriously punished by Sovereign Debt Rating Agencies, and Global Financial markets ad reduce reputation of Uk to that of Argentina /Zimbabe ad lead to a trade war between UK and its 30 closest neighbours and 50% of its entire trade base. The cost of such consequences for UK economy are unthinkable.
If the MPs vote against the deal then there since there is no other deal and 3 days is not long enough the Government's Plan B will be to leave without a deal. Therefore, all of the 550 pages will be irrelevant.
